This is a great moment in my life. I have been laughed at talked about, taken for granted and manipulated all in the body of Christ. I am moving forward in spite of the adversity and if by chance there may be a branch of Zion out there that could use a good pastor, a compassionate man of God who is not ashamed nor afraid of those who would come to kill, steal and destroy the spirit of a man, I avail myself to the cause of Christ.

"It’s Crunch Time!”, This is a new children’s book by Marie Brewer. Find it on www.borders.com & www.amazon.com (www.helenbrewer.com for excerpts and a link to book) This is my book of muscle for boys (ages 9-12) to point them in the direction of HOPE!...This is an interactive book where they can write about their feelings. It discusses acceptable behavior, honesty, good self-image, respect for females and animals, appreciation for teachers/school, choosing good friends. The book also talks about resisting gangs, guns, drugs, violence, alcohol and bad influences. Let's attack the behavior, not the boy. "It's Crunch Time!" , $10.95 , by Marie Brewer, www.borders.com or www.bbotw.com Be a part of the village to help our boys envision their true God-given purpose!
We can turn this thing around! SEE! THINK ! ACT
!
IF NOT YOU , THEN WHO ?!
Heaven gives us hope! Marie Brewer

As the year comes to a close, we start to reflect on what changes we need to make in our lives. There are many that will make the decision that weight needs to be lost, or a habit needs to be stopped. Others will evaluate the relationships that they have and made the conclusion that there needs to be a change in one. These are well and good intentioned changes, however the changes do not deal with the underlying reason why some take on self destructive habits.

We take on self destructive behaviors because we have a low self worth. There might have been something that has happened in our past that has caused trauma to our minds to cause us to feel this way. We might have felt that we were not valued by our families to cause us to feel that we were not worth being loved. No matter what the issue is it has caused us to look at ourselves with little or no self worth.

This is view of ourselves is contrary to how God looks at us. In God’s eyes we are worth the very much to Him. In God’s eyes it does not matter how flawed we are or what we have been through, we are still special to Him. Paul understood this when he penned Romans 5:8, “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”(NIV) God shows His love in spite of our past, in spite how others feel about us, in spite of our faults and failures, even in spite of how we feel about ourselves. It is the knowledge of this love and our acknowledgement of this love that can raise our own self worth.

This New Year let us change our self worth. Let us stop looking at ourselves with our own eyes, and start looking at ourselves the same way that God looks at us. We are important and we do have value. We are important because of God we live, move and have our being because He loves us. We have value because God gave His only son for our sins. That is showing us that we have value. Therefore hold your head up because you are worth it.
